  17. To get your copy of THE WORD from issue 12 onwards follow the following
  18. steps...

  24.     1.  Format 2 disks, make sure there are no errors on them...
  25.  
  26.     2.  Select a jiffy of sufficient volume to hold 2 disks and
  27.         perhaps a piece of paper.

  29.     3.  Write the following on said jiffy:  The Word - DiskBack
  30.                                             41 Lambourne Drive
  31.                                             Marton-In-Cleveland
  32.                                             Middlesbrough
  33.                                             TS7 8QF

  42.     4.  Stick a 1st class stamp on it.
  43.  
  44.     5.  Drop two 1st class stamps into it, along with your disks.

  46.     6.  Write your name and address on either a piece of paper or a
  47.         sticky label that's big enough to cover the address on the
  48.         front of the jiffy.

  50.     7.  Seal it, and if you feel like it, write your address on the
  51.         back as well, just in case like...

  57. $affIf  you're  sending articles on your disks (write:  arts included on
  58. disk  label)  then  obviously  it's  better  if you post them as soon as
  59. possible,  if  not  (and  WHY  not?)  then wait about six weeks from the
  60. release  date  of  the  LAST issue (which would be this one, presumably)
  61. before posting.

  67. $affFirst  I  check  your  disks for articles or letters (you can send a
  68. covering  letter on the disk if you prefer not to annoy your neighbours/
  69. parents  with  your  rattly  old 9-pin), and if I find any then they are
  70. copied  to  a  drawer  on  my  harddrive,  but left on the disks JUST IN
  71. CASE...

  73. Then  I  prepare  your  jiffy for posting, by removing the stamp and
  74. putting one of the loose ones on, removing/covering my address with your
  75. address  and  then  putting your disks back in.  The ready jiffy is then
  76. dumped unceremoniously into a drawer marked "Word - Diskback", ready for
  77. the next release.

  79. Oh alright, the drawer isn't actually marked, but that's what it's for.

  81. $affThen when the mag is finished and DMS'd onto my harddrive, I spend a
  82. few minutes/hours making copies on all the disks in that drawer and drop
  83. 'em  in  the  post  to  you, generally on a Friday morning.  The Word is
  84. released at 8pm on a Friday night (this is for the modem people) and you
  85. get it Saturday AM, not bad eh?

  88. 7  days at 28.8 or The Oracle BBS (01494 452026) 10pm - 7.30am 7 days at
